Here's my first little Pikmin I made yesterday ^__^
Blue Pikmin are the ones in the game that can breathe underwater!

I think he turned out OK and he's not bad for a first attempt!

I made the pattern pieces myself and used felt to make him. He's stuffed with the hollowfibre filling of an old pillow (nice bit of recycling!!) and sewn by hand. He's approx. 8 inches tall to the tip of his leaf.

I prefer sewing by hand, it means I can sit and watch TV or a DVD while I'm making something ^__^ I think as long as you choose the right needle and thread, sewing by hand is pretty easy and I do think a lot of people possibly use the wrong needle for it! I get confused myself when i shop for new needles, as there were 30 or more different packs last time I looked :lol:

The blue one is the only one with a mouth and I think that gives him more expression! It does seem weird making toys without mouths though :lol:
