Although I'm not counting my chickens!!

I'm seriously going to have to rethink my IP, as every time they do an update to their service my whole system screws up, but of course they won't have it that they're to blame!! After I rebooted last week, the problem I had was with the IPs newest update which my Windows XP didn't like and only 24 hours after the reboot the whole thing went funny again and I had to reboot again yesterday (thankfully I'd made detailed notes and was able to use those to reboot myself this time ^__^).

I'm not sure how many of you remember what the internet was like back in it's infancy? but on average a web page could take up to 1-5 minutes to open, which was fine at the time but awful by todays standards! Well my connection was taking 10-20 minutes to open one page and as soon as I phoned to say I was seriously thinking of changing my IP, suddenly it sped up to normal speed
I'm a bit concerned that they want me to do another upgrade, so I'm using IE for now, just to update my journal.

With any luck I should be back online proper, but just incase I disappear again; you'll know why!

P.S. I'll do my best to catch up with everything soon - deviations etc ^__^

My PC has crashed again and I'm using some weird method of a dialer to connect to the net and task manager on my PC to browse through my system to get Internet explorer up!! I basically have no desktop to speak of

I'm not sure when it will be up and running properly and I'm pretty annoyed with it all at the moment.

I'm not sure how safe this is, as I have no way of using a virus scan, so I won't be on much until it's all sorted out!

I just need to hope I can get it all properly fixed ^__^

So in less than 1 year I have had to reboot my entire computer for the 2nd time! I guess it was some kind of virus again - even though I run a virus scan 4 or more times a day! So what little money I had has gone into getting my PC repaired

This time i have made detailed notes of what to do, as I'not coughing up any more money to someone just to go through such a simple process!!

Basically I have spent 2 1/2 days sorting out my PC, reinstalling AOL and finally I'm back online, so once again I'm finding myself apologising for not being around

I've still got all my programmes to reinstall and that's the biggest pain!

I'm afraid everything I was doing was put on hold, but I will finish Ace eventually! I got confused with the tattoo on his back, as originally I was using a design that looked like a reverse swastika (the harmony thing) and it looked really good, then I realised that although the majority of paintings/pictures etc have this exact design, he doesn't actually have it in the anime (and I checked the recent encounter with Blackbeard), so it's anyones guess where the reverse swastika comes from Thankfully it wasn't that difficult to carefully scrape off parts of the tattoo I'd painted and it will be easy to make it look the way it does in the anime (my own fault for checking images on the net instead of flicking through my discs - thought it'd save time!!).

Just got to get back into the flow now

I'm doing really well with Portgas D. Ace ^__^ yesterday I made his pants/shorts, which I'm really pleased with (they have real belt loops ). Still a bit uncertain about his belt buckle, as it can't be metal as it would be too heavy and can't find anything metalic/silver looking that would be light enough. I added the beads and faces to his hat and even made a start on making boot looking boots - the pattern just needs a bit of tweaking.

His tattoos are painted and I'm really pleased with the outcome. I had to fill in the screw holes in his back (Volks neo go bodies have screws to adjust the body) with apoxy sculpt and then paint it, then add the tattoo, which considering my skill as a painter, isn't too bad at all. I've also done the tattoo of his name on his arm, which could have been better, but my hand writing isn't so good and it's reflected in the painting

today I may have a go at cutting and styling his hair (I'm using a Volks Neo GO01 black prerooted head for him; the only One Piece doll I've made that needs a Neo Go bod

All that will be left are the little bits and pieces, including his gun that I've tried making from apoxy sculpt, but it is a rather sad looking thing

I feel like I'm actually getting somewhere, which in return has lifted my spirits greatly ^__^

I managed to finish the red Pikmin and I'll upload a pic later, plus I made Portgas D. Ace's hat and tore out the hair of that vintage Sindy doll I found - which took almost as long as rooting a head My fingers and hands are so sore for all that ripping and pulling and I remember now why I stopped rerooting doll heads!!

I watched all my tacky live action fairytales yesterday while doing it all - Snow White, Jack and the Beanstalk, the Snow Queen the day before and would have watched Prince Charming (AKA The Frog Prince) but my eldest daughter had borrowed it! Then finished the day off watching Pirates of the Carribean 1 & 2

Anyway, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this creativity lasts for quite some time ^__^

I have made 2 Pikmin

I made a blue one (the water type) and a yellow one (electric type). Both from felt and really cute! I also started on a red one, but only cut out the pieces and sewed one leg. They were really fun to make and very theraputic. I watched Howl's Moving castle for the first time today while making the first and The Snow Queen while making the second ^__^

If it wasn't for Whisper of the Heart, I think Howl's would easily be my favourite Ghibli movie!! I think the only time I've laughed more was when i watched Pom Poko - the dog in Howl's is so cute and funny ^__^

I might wait until the red one is finished before taking photos and I may make the white and purples from Pikmin 2 and I had this really weird idea of inventing a few Pikmin of my own, as I've been thinking what new types they could have if Pikmin 3 ever happens!

Still no Ribose (funny damned express delivery service *lol*), anyway, that aside, feeling a little more cheerful which is mostly down to all the wonderful comments and support from everyone; here's a for you all ^__^

Not in any order:

2/. Portgas D. Ace (Luffy's older brother) One Piece doll.
3/. Mr. 3 (Miss Golden Weeks partner) One Piece doll.
4/. Miss Valentine (Whisky Peak/Little Garden baddie) One Piece doll.
5/. Vivi (Arabasta princess) One Piece doll.
6/. Buggy the Clown (If I can figure out how to make him!! First "real" villain) One Piece doll.
7/. Enel/Eneru (Skypiea "god" ultra bad guy if I can figure out how to make his ears from apoxy sculpt and those damned lightning drums ) One Piece doll.
8/. Pikmin both fimo and plushies of red, yellow, blue and white - not so keen on the purples
9/. 1960's & 1970's themed outfits for some of my dolls and perhaps a couple of 1960's themed dolls themselves ^__^
10/. No idea, but it looked good going into double figures

I also have 3 pieces of gift clothing to make for people, which an apology for the delay is all i can offer for a little while longer, but it will happen ^__^
